Buffer Reagent Solution for aluminum in brine testing. 100 mL bottle. For determination of aluminum in chlor-alkali brines. Aluminum, particularly in combination with silica, can foul ion-exchange membranes used in the electrolytic manufacture of chlorine and alkali. This fouling can disrupt and irreversibly damage the membrane increasing energy needs and causing a decrease in the quality and quantity of the product.

Additional reagents, 2310629 (ECR reagent), 2310542 (masking reagent), and 2305726 (ammonium fluoride reagent) are required for this method.
