Accurate, colour-independent suspended solids and turbidity measurements
Stainless steel high-precision built-in process probe to determine turbidity and suspended solids. Colour independent method with dual-beam infrared/scattered light photometer.
90° turbidity measurement according to DIN EN ISO 7027. The backscatter photoreceptor measures suspended solids accurately in accordance with DIN 37414. A single correction factor replaces time-consuming multipoint calibrations with dilution series. The measurement data is displayed and processed with the help of a controller. The sensor is for pipe use only! A welding neck and a fitting are essential for pipe installation.
Turbidity measurement performance certified according to MCERTs regulation.
Prognosys is a predictive diagnostic system that allows you to be proactive in your maintenance, by alerting you to upcoming instrument issues. Know with confidence whether changes in your measurements are due to changes in your instrument or your water.
This instrument connects to Claros, Hach’s innovative Water Intelligence System, enabling you to seamlessly connect and manage instruments, data, and process – anywhere, anytime. The result is greater confidence in your data and improved efficiency in your operations. To unlock the full potential of Claros, insist on Claros Enabled instruments.

Hach Solitax sc sensors provide accurate, colour-independent measurement of turbidity and suspended solids in drinking water, wastewater and industrial process applications. A self-cleaning device prevents biological growth and interference of gas bubbles. This system’s reliable performance and full data communication capability help improve process control and reduce treatment costs associated with polymer use, digester volume, and sludge handling.
Solitax sc sensors show an exceptional correlation to laboratory analysis. On-line measurement not only saves time on manual analysis, but also provides critical real-time measurements that can be used to operate the plant more efficiently.
Conventional turbidity and suspended solids sensors are potted and are discarded when they no longer function. Solitax sc sensors are fully serviceable, which often doubles the useful life of the sensor.
Factory calibrated in conformity with DIN EN ISO 7027 for long-term calibration stability. Calibration is easy with a simple correction factor procedure.
Multiple Solitax sc sensors can be installed on one Hach SC Controller. The same controller can also accommodate any combination of parameters. All of Hach’s model sc sensors are “plug and play” with no complicated wiring or set-up procedure necessary.
